The above line graph details the available historical data regarding the popularity of Google searches for the terms "period tracking," "period tracker," "cycle tracking," and "cycle tracker." This data represents US-based searches from January 2020 through September 2025. The x-axis marks the relative popularity of each search term based on the month and year beginning with January 2020 on the left (closest to the x-y intersection) and September 2025 on the far right. The y-axis represents the relative popularity of the search terms, plotted between 0.0 and 100.0. For Google Trends, a value of 100 represents the peak popularity for the term, while a value of 50 indicates the term is half as popular. A value of 0 means there is not enough data. Thus, the higher the point on the y-axis, the more popular the search term.
General observation: The terms "period tracker" and "period tracking" show significant spikes in popularity during June 2022 and a second popularity spike in July 2025. "Cycle tracking" has one spike in popularity during July 2025, while "cycle tracker" shows no popularity spikes.
The trend line for "period tracker" is represented with a red line, with a value of 100 (peak popularity) in June 2022 and the second highest value (81) in July 2022.
