The above line graph details the available historical data regarding the popularity of Google searches for the terms "period tracking," "period tracker," "cycle tracking," and "cycle tracker." This data represents US-based searches from January 2020 through September 2025. The x-axis marks the relative popularity of each search term based on the month and year beginning with January 2020 on the left (closest to the x-y intersection) and September 2025 on the far right. The y-axis represents the relative popularity of the search terms, plotted between 0.0 and 100.0. For Google Trends, a value of 100 represents the peak popularity for the term, while a value of 50 indicates the term is half as popular. A value of 0 means there is not enough data. Thus, the higher the point on the y-axis, the more popular the search term. 

General observation: The terms "period tracker" and "period tracking" show significant spikes in popularity during June 2022 and a second popularity spike in July 2025. "Cycle tracking" has one spike in popularity during July 2025, while "cycle tracker" shows no popularity spikes.

The trend line for "period tracker" is represented with a red line, with a value of 100 (peak popularity) in June 2022 and the second highest value (81) in July 2022. From January 2020 through November 2021, the popularity trended downward from 78 to 41, respectively. Between August 2022 and September 2025, the popularity has ranged between 40 and 52, except for July 2025, when the popularity value reached 65.

The trend line for "period tracking" is represented with a blue line. Between January 2020 and May 2022, the search popularity generally trended upward from 8 to 25, and there was a significant peak in popularity in June 2022 (popularity score = 61). In July 2022, the search term significantly trended downward (the popularity value was 27 that month). From August 2022 through September 2025, the search term generally trended upward between 17 and 27, with hills and valleys throughout.

The trend line for "cycle tracker" is represented with a yellow-orange line. The popularity trend remains relatively low, fluctuating between 4 (October and December of 2021) and 12 (July 2025). There are no significant spikes in popularity, yet the trend is generally upward during the time span, with hills and valleys throughout.

The trend line for "cycle tracking" is represented with a green line. The popularity trend remains relatively low, with a general upward trend from 7 (February 2020) to 15 (September 2025) with hills and valleys throughout. There is a spike in popularity between June 2025 and August 2025 (popularity values of 24, 33, and 27, respectively).
